Huntsville, AL – January 31, 2024. DDC-I a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will exhibit at the Military Aviation & Air Dominance Show, which will be held January 31-February 1 at the Jackson Center in Huntsville, AL.

DDC-I will demonstrate integration, DO-178C-certifiable avionics display system. Utilizing an NXP i.MX8 reference platform equipped with DDC-I’s safety-critical, multicore Deos RTOS, the system utilizes CoreAVI drivers and OpenGL libraries to provide the graphics. An Ansys SCADE and CDS graphics package running atop the CoreAVI drivers and libraries provides the human machine interface.

“DDC-I has been at the forefront of mission- and safety-critical avionics software innovation for over 35 years,” said Greg Rose, vice president of marketing at DDC-I. “DDC-I embraces safety-critical standards such as DO-178C, ARINC 653 and FACE and our Deos offers a COTS certifiable RTOS platform and tools that deliver best in class, real-time performance, determinism, modularity, and reuse that greatly reduces risk and time to market for avionics developers.”

About Military Aviation 2024

The 6th Annual Military Aviation & Air Dominance Summit is the only full spectrum defense aviation event in North America and will convene senior level experts and decision makers from across the U.S. military services, DoD, international partners, acquisition authorities, and industry for a joint service discussion on initiatives and strategies to best equip and sustain the aviation force of the future. The 2024 Summit will discuss how the military services, in partnership with industry, are modernizing and enhancing military aviation platforms and systems to ensure air dominance for the future fight.

About Deos

Deos is a safety-critical embedded RTOS that employs patented cache partitioning, memory pools, and safe scheduling to deliver higher CPU utilization than any other certifiable safety-critical COTS RTOS on multi-core processors. First certified to DO-178 DAL A in 1998, Deos provides certified conformant FACE OSS Safety Base and Safety Extended Profiles that feature hard real-time response, time and space partitioning, with support for Rate Monotonic, ARINC-653 and POSIX interfaces.

SafeMC technology extends Deos’ advanced capabilities to multiple cores, enabling developers of safety-critical systems to achieve best in class multi-core performance without compromising safety critical task response and guaranteed execution time. SafeMC employs a bound multiprocessing (BMP) extension of the symmetric multiprocessing architecture (SMP), safe scheduling, and cache partitioning to minimize cross-core contention and interference patterns that affect the performance, safety criticality and certifiability of multi-core systems. These features enable avionics systems developers to address issues that could impact the safety, performance and integrity of a software airborne system as specified by the Certification Authorities Software Team (CAST).
