BOOTH # 910

Denver, CO – April 24-26. 2024.  DDC-I, a leading supplier of software and professional services for mission- and safety-critical applications, today announced that it will exhibit at the Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit, which runs from April 24-26 at the Gaylord Rockies Hotel & Convention Center in Denver, CO. At this year’s summit, DDC-I will showcase its Deos safety-critical real-time operating system (RTOS), which utilizes the latest DO-178C Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) multi-core verified baseline.

DDC-I will host a pair of safety-critical avionics display demos at its booth (#910). Both demos will feature Deos running on an NXP i.MX8qm processor with integrated Vivante GC7000 GPU and CoreAVI VkCoreGL® SC2 OpenGL® SC driver and libraries. One demo, focusing on avionics instruments, utilizes the Ensco IData cockpit display graphics tool suite to create and deploy human machine interface (HMI) displays. The second demo, focusing on instrument and drone capabilities, utilizes the Ansys SCADE display design and development environment to create and deploy the HMI.

“We’re excited to be part of the Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit and look forward to demonstrating our world class, safety-critical platform to the Army Aviation community,” said Greg Rose, vice president of marketing at DDC-I. “Deos is used by a number of avionics vendors to create safety critical displays, and we look forward to demonstrating that capability on a multi-core platform at the show.”

The annual Army Aviation Mission Solution Summit, sponsored by the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), is an opportunity for the entire Army Aviation community to gather in one place at one time focused solely on Army Aviation issues. The summit aims to transform aviation warfighting and strengthen the sacred trust within the aviation community. Attendees can expect insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and updates on cutting-edge aviation technologies and strategies.

At this year’s summit, four new members will be inducted into the Army Aviation Hall of Fame, including two Medal of Honor recipients. The 2024 summit will also feature a Soldier Appreciation Dinner Concert on April 26 with Randy Houser and the AAAA Summit Golf Tournament on April 23 at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver, CO.

DDC-I’s Deos is a safety-critical time and space partitioned RTOS. First certified to DO-178 DAL A in 1998, Deos combines DO-178C DAL A artifacts with FACE® Technical Standard support that encompasses the Safety Base and Safety Extended Profiles for the Operating System Segment (OSS). The Safety Base Profile features hard real-time response, time, and space partitioning, and both ARINC-653 and POSIX interfaces.

SafeMC technology extends Deos’ advanced capabilities to multiple cores, enabling developers of safety-critical systems to achieve best in class multi-core performance without compromising safety-critical task response and guaranteed execution time. SafeMC employs a bound multiprocessing (BMP) extension of the symmetric multiprocessing architecture (SMP), safe scheduling, and cache partitioning to minimize cross-core contention and interference patterns that affect the performance, safety criticality and certifiability of multi-core systems. These features enable avionics systems developers to address issues that could impact the safety, performance and integrity of a software airborne system executing on Multi-Core Processors (MCP), as specified by the FAA Advisory Circular AC 20-193.
